transport companies in Europe and comprises the divisions Samskip Multimodal

Since its founding in Iceland in 1990, Samskip has

British shortsea shipping operator. Samskip also acquired reefer centres from
the Dutch company Kloosterboer, increasing its cold storage capacity and
providing comprehensive services to customers. The company furthermore obtained
an 80 per cent share in Van Dieren Maritime and a 40 per cent share in Silver
Sea, Norway.
Samskip currently employs about 1,400 people working in more
than 20 countries around the world.
